How do I exit out of hacking?
Hey ! You can get back to the map simply by typing map in the terminal :)
Thank you for telling me!
Looks like a cool game but I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do. Maybe some of it is obvious if you're a hacker but some of it seems game-specific. A man command would be helpful. The help output could also be formatted to be more readable (list commands in two columns?).
Updated the commands they should be easier to read rn. Thanks for the feedback
Nice.
The moment I saw the name of the game in the game jam submissions my eyes lit up, I've always been a fan of hacking and terminals, I even played Hacknet like three times already.
Really cool atmoshpere, I love the details like the mouse click or the keyboard taps sound effects and I even appreciated the fact that when you press the up arrow key it takes you back to previous commands because it remembered me the good ol' times I spent on Linux terminals years ago.
The jumpscare was really unexpected but effective.
As for the gameplay I found it a bit hard to understand what I was supposed to do and I think it would've been better if you added some sort of initial tutorial just to get things going. Other than that really cool game overall!
thanks a lot!
Couldn't figure out what to do after connecting to every BSSID (which, just as an fyi, normally are hex, not base-36). A prompt to scan for the thing might also be in order, as I didn't realize that was something I was supposed to do right away due to it being a bit buried in the `help`
Either way, rather atmospheric!
you were supposed to win the game after that but probably that part was not in the game when you played it :P Thanks for taking the time to figure out the game!
